Why not include all veterans? Why not include all taxpayers? Why not include all right and left handed people? Giving breaks to retirees and disabled people makes some sense. But this seems like a whole lot of paperwork for the soldier and needlessly increases the bureaucracy for what? To save $25? Who can’t afford a $30 combination hunting/fishing license. There are other ways to show gratitude without needlessly raising the cost of government.
