    Step in the right direction

It sounds like this is a step in the right direction to make government more transparent. It is important to create the system. Once it is established, it can be improved to make it more timely and to cover more of the government's expenditures.

Require language in this legislation of posting all merit and/or non-merit state employees whose motor vehicles do not have a Kentucky license plate. If they're working and being paid by Kentucky state government their motor vehicles ought to be licensed in Kentucky so they're paying to Kentucky their usage and property taxes plus state registration fees. dash

    stuck in committee?

I love this bill. We should all call Frankfort and tell them to get this out of committee. Don't let them tell you they can't, there's a procedure to do it by force.

    Please quit hiding our checkbook!

Anyone that doesn't vote for this apparently wants to hide our expenditures from us. No other reason why it shouldn't be passed. We are watching for who votes for this, and who is trying to hide it from us. Mike Cherry, please bring it up and do the right thing for the people of Ky. Please stop hiding it.

    It's about time!

This should pass in flying colors. I would think after all the stigma in Frankfort that any governor would want the tax payors to know what is being spend, unless, of course, there is something to hide.

    we need this!

We need transparency in government. I want a line-item budget accounting for every tax dollar in and out. I bet you that I can find a few places to slash the budget and fix this "crisis".
