It has been proven and well documented that academic learning can be greatly enhanced by opportunities for students to exercise during the course of the school day. The school day should not have to be shortened to accomodate exercise opportunities. There are currently approximately 2100 minutes within the school schedule each week, and 1950 minutes will remain if 150 minutes of exercise are implemented into the day. If the school can not accomplish the objective of creating a successful academic environment within that time frame, then something is surely out of balance.
