2006 House Bill 506: Raise income taxes, create tax credit
Introduced by Rep. Jim Wayne (D) on February 3, 2006 To increase the tax rate on income over $75,000. The bill would establish a refundable earned income tax credit at 15% of the federal credit. The bill would decouple Kentucky from the federal estate tax phase-out. The bill also would make income tax provisions effective for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2006, make estate tax provisions effective for deaths on or after August 1, 2006, make some sales tax provisions effective August 1, 2006.   Official Text and Analysis.
