2006 House Bill 47: Criminalize certain use of personal information in advertising
Introduced by Rep. Bill Farmer (R) on January 3, 2006 To criminalize the use of a person's name, portrait, or photograph for advertising and other purposes without consent, provide an exception for news media. The bill would authorize the bringing of a civil action for use of a person's name, portrait, or photograph for advertising without consent.
