 Not if the people demand a consumption tax only.  We the people should pay for our government with what we have earned.  Not what government decides what we should pay.  If this country is created by the  people and for the people then we the people should decide if we should have government take our money or are we willing to pay for taxes on what we purchase.  Many are beginning to be aware that the government has been ripping us off and making our country financially and globally weaker.  We are getting fed up.  In this poor economy government employment rolls are increasing as are government salaries.  This is fascism.

 Doing away with the state income tax sounds like an excellent idea. But we must be careful here. When one understands that there will be a ton of service taxes put in place of the state income tax then we will have a BIGGER problem. Beware the unintended consequences !!
