1) Raw Milk [by sjacobs on May 2, 2008]
Could this bill be expanded to include cow milk?

I think this bill needs to be passed. Why has nothing been done on this the whole legislative session?

From my own experience I know several people who cannot drink "store" milk. It gives them bad cramps, etc. But when they had the forbidden "raw" milk they were able to digest it without any problems. This includes not just milk but all dairy products. I know they typically refer to this problem with dairy products as lactose intolerance. This problem seems to be growing. Is it time to return to the small dairy operations as an alternative? Why not? I think in my case the benefits outweigh the risks and I know plenty of people who would love the chance to try raw milk.

If you still think it is a problem maybe an information packet needs to be included with the sale of any raw milk to explain risks involved?

2) Outstanding!! [by Anonymous Citizen on January 28, 2008]
I think the time has long been here to join over thirty other states in allowing 'artisan' cheese making. I know this might be a little too sophisticated for the average 'in somebody's pocket' politician but the people want this. I doubt that this will have any impact on the good-buddy 'slave' big dairy operations (that are going down the drain from such expert management by the KDA)so why not let other consenting adults 'take their chances?'
