2008 House Bill 522: Require outpatient ambulance-driven preference; impose penalties
Introduced by Rep. Greg Stumbo (D) on February 13, 2008 To require doctors, physician assistants, advanced registered nurse practitioners, optometrists, and dentists to provide outpatient services to anyone transported by ambulance ahead of others waiting in the office or with an appointment. The bill imposes fines of $5000 for the first offense, $10,000 for the second offense, and $15,000 for the third.
