2) unconstitutional [by newmark on February 9, 2008] I'm fairly certain that this is Unconstitutional. You can't force journalists to register as lobbyists. What if I decide to publish something one time? Does that mean that I'm required to register? What if I refuse? If there's any punishment, you're violating the 1st Amendment.
Then again, BCRA does, so why not the states, too?
3) Freedom of the Press? [by David Dunn on February 7, 2008] This bill is another attack on American values. Politicians don't want to be criticized for their failure to do their job--namely uphold and support the US Constitution.
Kill this bill. We're already glutted and sated with enough anti-American values legislation. Reply
