I'm fairly certain that this is Unconstitutional. You can't force journalists to register as lobbyists. What if I decide to publish something one time? Does that mean that I'm required to register? What if I refuse? If there's any punishment, you're violating the 1st Amendment.

Then again, BCRA does, so why not the states, too?

So sad.

This bill is another attack on American values. Politicians don't want to be criticized for their failure to do their job--namely uphold and support the US Constitution.

Kill this bill. We're already glutted and sated with enough anti-American values legislation.
