Introduced by Rep. Stan Lee (R) on January 2, 2007, to require contractors to verify employment eligibility of all employees by registering and participating in the Basic Pilot Program operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security. The bill would require the cabinet to promulgate administrative regulations relating to certification and registration requirements with the Basic Pilot Program. The bill would provide that failure to comply results in cancellation of contract and disqualification of contract eligibility for five years.
