• Introduced by Rep. Joni L Jenkins on January 2, 2007, to increase the state minimum wage to $5.85 an hour on the effective date of this Act, to $6.55 an hour effective July 1, 2008, and to $7.25 an hour effective July 1, 2009. The bill would increase the state minimum wage to the federal minimum wage rate if that rate exceeds the state minimum wage rate.
