Introduced in the Senate on January 11, 2006, to preclude anyone from holding himself or herself out as a physician assistant or practicing as a physician assistant unless he or she is licensed under this Act. The bill would establish procedures for license renewal establish provisions for the imposition of a late fee and a reinstatement fee. The bill would extend licensing status to those physician assistants who are certified on the effective date of this Act. The bill also would authorize the board to promulgate administrative regulations relating to the issuance, renewal and reinstatement of licenses. The amended bill would clarify that Kentucky-certified physician assistants in good standing on the effective date of this Act shall automatically become licensed under the act
