Introduced in the Senate on January 20, 2006, to amend various sections of the Kentucky Revised Statutes to rename the Education, Arts, and Humanities Cabinet as the Education Cabinet. The bill would create new offices in the Education cabinet, including the Department of Workforce Investment. The bill would abolish the Workforce Development Cabinet. The bill would transfer the Council on Postsecondary Education and the Education Professional Standards Board to the Education Cabinet. The bill also would transfer various units to the Commerce Cabinet
