2006 House Bill 630 (Tax credits for student scholarships)

  • Introduced by Rep. Jim Gooch, Jr. on February 21, 2006, to establish a nonrefundable education improvement tax credit program for corporations and financial institutions that contribute to education improvement organizations or scholarship organizations. The bill would establish maximum credit amounts per corporation and financial institution. The bill would establish total amount of credits available for the tax credit program per fiscal year set at $30-million total for combined contributions to scholarship organizations and educational improvement organizations.
